        Have a blast this winter

Winter brings cool air, blue skies and snowflakes—which creates a perfect setting for seasonal events. Be sure to Shop, Eat & Stay Local when planning your seasonal events.
Try something new this winter. Sip a cup of hot cocoa from the comfort of your own igloo or a steak dinner in your own bubble. Explore Light of the Bluff in St. Joseph, as they keep the lights on through Valentines Day.
You can watch or participate with a team or on your own in a winter race with the Polar Roll - EX in Marquette or the Upper Michigan Ice Race in Gwinn.

Have some winter fun in Grand Haven with Snowmen on Main Street "without snow."  Join in at Treetops for the Wilderness Sleigh Ride or take a winter hike at Bry's Estate Winter Trail and make your outdoor winter event memorable. Watch as Downtown Grand Rapids transforms into a dazzling winter wonderland at the World of Winter Festival happening now.

Make sure you call ahead or refer to event websites to make sure the holiday event you are looking for is still on schedule. View our full event calendar here.

        Woman shopping downtown during winter.

By shopping, eating and staying local, you can help Michigan workers, businesses and communities thrive this season while finding everything you need.

Now is the perfect time to plan your vacation, and there are plenty of virtual travel opportunities to explore Michigan in the meantime.
